St. Patrick's Senior Boys Basketball Tournament

St. Patrick’s Boys Basketball Program is pleased to announce that they will be hosting an inaugural Senior Boys Basketball Tournament November 24-25, 2012.

St. Patrick’s is honored to play host to Nicolas Gatineau, Louis Riel, Christian Life Academy, Sacred Heart, St. Pius X, Immaculata and Lester B. Pearson in their first ever 8 team tournament.

In the first game of the tournament St.Pat’s defended home to the tune of a 77-29 victory over Nicolas Gatineau.

The second game saw Immaculata overcome Sacred Heart 67-34.

In the first hotly contested game Lester B Pearson came back from trailing to beat St.Pius X 60-52.

In the last game of the first round Louis Riel took it to Christian Life Academy by a score of 58-31.

In the first game of the second round St. Patrick took it over Sacred Heart 78-41.

In the next game Immaculata toppled Nicolas Gatineau 70-38.

In the last game of the night Louis Riel beat St. Pius X 56-40.

In what was a barnburner that went to overtime, Lester B Pearson eventually fended off Christian Life Academy 65-61.

In the first semi-final Louis Riel battled through a tough game against Immaculata to move on to the finals with a 65-57 win. In the other semi-final St. Patrick’s overcame a tough first half to beat Lester B Pearson by a score of 77-38

In the first friendly game it took overtime for Christian Life Academy to prevail over Sacred Heart 57-47. In the second friendly St. Pius X beat Nicolas Gatineau>

The Finals were played in front of a packed house as Louis Riel nd St. Pat’s took the floor to face off for the first time since last year’s city final. St. Pat’s did not disappoint the home crowd as they dominated from start to finish and walked away with an 88-52 victory that sealed their first tournament championship of the young season.

The coaches and St. Pat’s community would like to thank all those that came out and were a part of the tournament.
